Hema currently ships to 30+ countries across five regions. Export is available both under Hema's own brands and as private label / contract manufacturing for the buyer's brand.
| Region | Countries |
|---|---|
| Middle East & Gulf | Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Palestine, Iran |
| Europe | United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus |
| Africa | Libya, Tunisia, Benin, Mauritius |
| Americas | United States, Canada, Chile, Cuba |
| Central Asia & Asia-Pacific | Turkmenistan, Malaysia |
Shipments to markets not listed above can also be arranged; caffeine levels and labelling are adjusted to the destination country's regulations before production.
Delivery terms (Incoterms)
Hema works with common delivery terms such as EXW, FOB and CIF. The right incoterm is decided by the target country, the buyer's logistics capacity and order size. Proximity to İzmir Port gives freight and time advantages on FOB/CIF shipments.
Container loading figures
| Can size | Approx. cans per 40ft container |
|---|---|
| 250 ml | ~92,160 |
| 330 ml | ~72,000 |
| 500 ml | ~48,000 |
Because beverages are heavy, loading is by weight not volume; a 40ft container carries about 26-27 tonnes. In a mixed container, different products/sizes are balanced within that weight limit. The exact packing list is finalised with the sales team.
Meeting target-market requirements
The most common export barriers are regulation and certification. Hema can adjust caffeine to the target country up to 320 mg/L, and production complies with ISO 9001/22000, HACCP, GMP and Halal — Halal being critical for the Gulf and Middle East. For documents see the certifications page.
Regional logistics advantage
İzmir's location gives fast, economical road transport to the Balkans, the Middle East and the Caucasus, and efficient container shipping to overseas markets via İzmir Port. For export-oriented production power see the factory page, and for products the products section.
Mini FAQ
Which incoterms does Hema export under?
Hema works with common incoterms such as EXW, FOB and CIF. The right delivery term is decided by the target country, the buyer's logistics preference and order size; exact terms and pricing are finalised in the quote.
How much fits in a 40ft container?
Because beverages are heavy, loading is by weight; a 40ft container holds roughly 92,160 cans at 250 ml, 72,000 at 330 ml and 48,000 at 500 ml. In a mixed container, different products and sizes can be combined without exceeding about 26-27 tonnes.
Can the caffeine level be adjusted per export country?
Yes. The standard caffeine level is 150 mg/L (Turkey's legal limit). For export markets it can be adjusted up to 320 mg/L in line with the target country's regulations. Production also complies with ISO 9001/22000, HACCP, GMP and Halal — documents most import regulations require.
What are the payment and delivery terms?
Hema works on CIF and FOB delivery terms for export; payment is by letter of credit (L/C). Exact terms are confirmed at the quotation stage, based on order size and destination country.
