Contract Energy Drink Manufacturing
How does contract manufacturing work?
The process has four main steps: (1) defining product, taste, caffeine level and can size; (2) recipe approval and sample; (3) printed can/label supply and production plan; (4) production on three lines, filling, packaging and shipment. If you have no recipe, a fast start is possible using Hema's proven formulas.

Minimum order, lead time and filling
The typical minimum for your own brand is 3×40ft containers. Approximate cans per container: 92,160 at 250 ml, 72,000 at 330 ml, 48,000 at 500 ml. After order confirmation and printed-can supply, production usually takes 4-6 weeks. Filling covers carbonated/still beverage into aluminium cans; shelf life is 24 months. For cost items see the production cost guide.
Contract or private label?
The two models often overlap. In short: private label usually produces the manufacturer's proven recipe under your brand; narrow contract produces your own recipe. Hema does both. For a detailed comparison see private label vs contract manufacturing, and for brand-launch steps start your own brand. For a broader view we also have a private label page.
Mini FAQ
What is contract energy drink manufacturing?
In contract manufacturing the product is made at Hema's facilities under your own brand. You either bring your own recipe or use Hema's proven recipe; production, filling and packaging are done at the factory and the product ships under your label. It is the fastest way to sell a branded product without building your own factory.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
For your own brand the typical minimum is 3×40ft containers. A 40ft container holds roughly 92,160 cans at 250 ml, 72,000 at 330 ml and 48,000 at 500 ml. After order confirmation and printed-can supply, production usually takes 4-6 weeks; three parallel lines shorten the timeline.
What is the difference between contract manufacturing and private label?
The terms are often used together. In private label the manufacturer's proven recipe is typically produced under your brand; in narrow contract manufacturing your own recipe is produced for you. Hema offers both models; for a detailed comparison see the private label vs contract manufacturing guide.
