Energy Drink Production Process
The process, step by step
| Step | What happens? |
|---|---|
| 1. Recipe approval and sample | Your own recipe (contract manufacturing) or Hema's proven recipe (private label) is taken as the base; taste, caffeine level and sugar level are fixed and the sample is approved. |
| 2. Raw-material and printed-can supply | Raw materials come from certified suppliers; aluminium cans printed for your brand are produced at a specialist can maker and delivered to the factory. |
| 3. Water and syrup preparation | Syrup (pre-mix) is prepared with treated water: sugar/sweetener, acidity regulator, flavour, caffeine, taurine and vitamins are blended at the recipe's ratios. |
| 4. Carbonation and filling | The beverage is carbonated with CO2, filled into aluminium cans and seamed; three lines can fill three different sizes at the same time. |
| 5. Quality control | Food-safety checks apply throughout the process, from raw-material intake to post-filling control; the process is covered by ISO 22000 and HACCP. |
| 6. Packing and shipment | Cans are tray/shrink packed, palletised and loaded into containers; each product's tray-pallet-container figures are published on its product page. |
Timeline from order to shipment
Two items set the total time: printed-can supply and the production window. After order confirmation and the printed cans reaching the factory, production is usually completed within 4-6 weeks. Beverages ship in full containers under EXW, FOB or CIF terms; the Torbalı plant is ~45 km from İzmir Port. For quantities, see the MOQ and container tables in the production cost guide.
What do three parallel lines provide?
Hema İçecek runs three parallel filling lines. That means 250, 330 and 500 ml sizes can be produced simultaneously, order queues shrink and lead times shorten. Annual capacity is roughly 250 million cans. For the full facility see the factory page; for production models see contract manufacturing and private label.
Quality and certifications
Production runs under an ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP and Halal certified process; the documents can be downloaded from the certifications page. The caffeine standard in Türkiye is 150 mg/L; for export production it can be set up to 320 mg/L according to the target country's regulations. The standard shelf life is 24 months.
